| My, my, Kaku. He ate some odd devil fruit and turned into a giraffe.
Perhaps Eiichiro Oda chose a giraffe because its long neck is comparable to Kaku's long nose. And the retained rectangular prism shaped nose when Kaku is in half beast/human form provides a comical relief for the serious fighting to come.
Poor Kaku. But it's rather cute how he tries to rationalize.

 My favorite character is probably Kaku. I have no idea as to why. Maybe there's some magical appeal with that square nose of his. I'd totally marry him and have puns as my flower girl and ring boy.
